They provide a safe and confidential environment in which clients can learn to work through their issues and develop strategies to address and resolve problems on their own. Our counsellors can assist with:

Mental Health Nurse
Credentialed Mental Health Nurse

Mental health nurses are responsible for planning and providing support and medical and nursing care to people who have a range of mental health issues.

  • work with you to plan your recovery
  • help educate you, your family and your doctor about your mental illness and its treatment
  • support you to talk to your doctor about mental health
  • provide counselling and strategies to deal with emotional difficulties and stress
  • help you deal with your symptoms and any medication you take
  • link with health professionals involved in your care, like your doctor, a psychologist or psychiatrist, to make sure you get the most appropriate treatment
  • help with services like Centrelink, housing and community programs
  • talk to your family and support people, if you want
  • help you review your mental health care plan with your doctor

Remedial Therapist
Remedial Therapist

Remedial massage therapists use massage based application to treat a number of conditions affecting the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the body. Remedial massage is a key component of sports medicine, but is beneficial for anyone suffering from pain or injury in a particular area of the body.

Our remedial massage therapist will assess and identify which areas of the body require treatment, and use a range of techniques to optimise muscle function via massage. Our qualified and experienced therapist can:

  • Locate and repair damaged areas of the body and speed up the body’s own healing processes.
  • Trace the original reason for the pain, tackling both the cause of the problem and the symptoms.
  • Treat sporting and dance injuries, muscle cramps, whiplash, muscular atrophy, fibrositis, spondylitis, arthritis and frozen shoulder.
Exercise Physiologist and Hydrotherapy (Heated Pool)
Exercise Physiologist

Exercise physiology is the study of the mechanics of body movements and how physical exertion affects the human body. Exercise physiologists work to maximize athletic performance, prevent illness and support recovery from a variety of health conditions.

  • Develop and carry out exercise programs for rehabilitation, management and prevention of injuries and associated chronic diseases. Patients can include sufferers of osteoporosis, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, depression, obesity and immunological disorders.
  • Provide you with an extensive exercise program, specially tailored for your needs
  • Show you how to carry out your program independently at home
  • Work on preventing any future injury or re-injury
  • Promote your optimal physical wellbeing
  • Personal training in the gym
  • Hydrotherapy in the aquatic centre! This has been a popular and highly effective therapy for our clients.
Nurse Practitioner
Nurse Practitioner

Working directly with patients, nurse practitioners can diagnose and manage most of the common and chronic illnesses. They are authorised to perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide counselling and education, and write prescriptions.

Our nurse practitioner is also a credentialed mental health nurse who can attend Centrelink, housing and other appointments along with her patients to advocate on their behalf if reasonable and necessary.
