Once the initial appointment, behavioral observations, and emotional + behavioral screening are completed, the psychologist will be able to share which assessment pathway is recommended.
You will be guided on the most appropriate course of action based on your child’s needs.
During this stage of the assessment process the psychologist will complete the appropriate assessments required that will inform whether your child meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD, autism, developmental delays, intellectual disability, and/or learning difficulties such as dyslexia.
There may be instances where your child may be assessed for more than one area of neurodivergence such as ADHD and autism or ADHD and dyslexia.
Note: Please note, agreeing to proceed with this part of the assessment process means you also consent to the completion of a formal, comprehensive report outlining the results and outcome of the assessment.
