Najwa is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 14 years experience working as a child psychologist in various settings including private, government and education sectors providing assessment, diagnosis and therapy to children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties and mental illness.

Najwa has a special interest in attachment, trauma, early child development and neurodiversity, taking a holistic, empathetic, and accepting approach in working collaboratively with children, parents and teachers.

Having worked within a multidisciplinary team providing developmental assessment services, she has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of assessing and diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (such as dyslexia).

Rabeah Bardouh

Rabeah is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor with AHPRA. She has over 12 years of public and private practice experience working predominately with children, adolescents and women. Her employment experience include working with the Department of Human Services, the Department of Communities and Justice, ASPECT (Autism Spectrum Australia), Community Health Centre (Child and Family Psychology services), schools and clinical settings.

Rabeah is highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of various psychological conditions and mental health concerns including anxiety disorders, depression, attachment, developmental delays, neuro-diverse conditions (including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning disorders), emotional and behavioural problems, stress, social difficulties, bullying, poor self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship problems, and trauma. Rabeah aims to provide the most effective care to clients using evidence-based techniques, which includes psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, family therapy, social skills training, play therapy, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and trauma informed care.

Rabeah is bilingual and speaks Arabic. She is well informed of the sensitivities of working with clients from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Rabeah’s approach to therapy is client-centred and she strives to create a therapeutic environment that is comfortable, respectful, and non-judgmental. She also offers genuineness, empathetic understanding and psychological support to empower clients to make change that leads to self-improvement and growth. Rabeah has a profound interest in providing a holistic and integrated approach to healing and wellness by focusing on the connections between emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and spiritual understandings. She helps her clients realise that each of these components need to work together in harmony to support daily function and greater psychological wellbeing.

Rabeah supports the use of a multi-disciplinary approach which aims to provide coordinated and comprehensive care that is centred around the client when multiple developmental and psychological concerns are identified. Rabeah is skilled in collaborating with other allied health professionals who have different areas of expertise and skillsets to support clients and discuss care plans best suited to the client’s individual needs. Rabeah has a keen interest in child developmental assessments and providing early intervention for children and young people who are at risk of poor outcomes or need to build their personal strengths and skills. She worked with the Community Paediatric team, which involved administering assessments, consulting and collaborating with Paediatricians when assessing children with developmental delays, and/or other physical health, emotional and behavioural concerns. Rabeah is trained to administer cognitive and academic achievement assessments, functional assessments, the Griffiths Scales of Child Developmental 3rd Edition (Griffiths III), and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).

Melak Haydar

Melak is a psychologist who is highly skilled at providing assessment, intervention, treatment, and psychological therapies. Melak has a diverse range of experience having worked in clinics, homes, and schools. Melak is also skilled in addressing issues related to alcohol and drug addiction, as well as mood disorders. Utilising evidence-based modalities such as clinical hypnotherapy, CBT, and schema therapy, she is dedicated to helping clients from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Melak is also fluent in Arabic

Nezihe Ali

Nezihe is a seasoned psychologist with over 13 years of dedicated experience in the field. Her professional journey has led her through both community and private practice settings, where she has honed her expertise in delivering effective therapeutic interventions. Nezihe has demonstrated a deep commitment to inclusivity and cultural diversity by working closely with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. At the heart of her practice is a client-centred approach, where Nezihe places the individual’s needs and goals at the forefront of her therapeutic interventions. This empathetic and collaborative approach establishes a strong rapport, creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their challenges and embark on a journey towards healing.

Throughout her career, Nezihe has skillfully utilized a wide range of therapeutic modalities to address various psychological challenges. Her proficiency spans Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Schema Therapy, among others. Beyond her broad clinical skill set, Nezihe has a special interest in the fascinating interplay between gut health and mental well-being, as well as the impact of nutrition on mental health outcomes. Her commitment to holistic well-being underscores her belief that physical health plays a crucial role in mental well-being.

This diverse toolkit enables her to tailor her methods to suit the unique requirements of each client and their specific presentation. Her experience extends to working with couples, and individuals over 14 years of age, grappling with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and chronic stress, as well as domestic violence, personal growth and development, relationship/marriage issues, post separation parenting challenges, workplace and motor vehicle injuries.

Nezihe is bilingual (English/Turkish) and a SIRA and Work Development Order (WDO) approved Psychologist.

Billel Rababi

Billel is an experienced psychologist with specialised training in the areas of men’s mental health, trauma-informed practice, attachment theory as well as grief and loss. Billel is also fluent in Arabic.

Drawing on his experience working in the child protection field as a Psychologist, he can provide personalised therapy and awareness to fathers and their children and mothers and children who have been subjected to domestic violence and significant trauma.

Billel has a keen interest in the area of masculinity. Other areas of interest include chronic pain management, personal injury rehabilitation and assisting clients with their return to work goals and achieving pre-injury functionality in their day to day life.

Samira Khan

Samira is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who conducts assessment and intervention for a variety of presentations including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, self-esteem issues, attachment and interpersonal difficulties, emotional dysregulation, grief, and trauma.

Her personal style is friendly, warm, and caring. To help foster a meaningful therapeutic relationship, Samira works with her clients from the outset to identify clear therapy goals, discuss treatment plans, review progress and flexibly readjust strategies when needed.

Samira has completed advanced level training in both Schema Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, which allows her to tailor therapy plans to each individual client. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends and keeping them entertained with real-life stories, fascinating facts, and lots of laughter.

Samira can also speak fluent Bengali.
